Attending Going Global 2023

Cormack Consultancy Group’s Founder and Chairman, Dr Charles Cormack had an honour to present the Twinning Initiative at Going Global Conference, hosted by the British Council in Edinburgh on the 21st of November.

During his presentation, Dr Cormack had a chance to introduce the concept and achievements made by participated universities for these one and a half years.

Dr Cormack also raised an issue of brain drain as one of the main goals of the Initiative is to prevent it. Rachel Sandison, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, twinned with the National University Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, raised this concern as well and emphasised on the concept ‘brain gain, not the brain drain’.

Mychailo Wynnyckyi, the Deputy Minister of Ukraine, has also participated in the discussions and among other topics highlighted the current issue with student mobility.
