Generators4Ukraine
“It's very difficult to get to the top of Maslov's hierarchy if the bottom parts are not secured.”
— says Mychailo Wynnytskyi, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Education (HE)
The energy infrastructure of Ukraine suffers from regular targeted missile and drone attacks, which leads to power outages and critically affects the educational process. The lack of stable electricity makes it difficult to conduct classes and poses a health risk to students and university staff, especially during the cold autumn and winter months.
Within the framework of the Twinning initiative, Cormack Consultancy Group has launched a fundraising campaign ‘Generators4Ukraine’ at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The campaign aims to support the infrastructure of Ukrainian universities during power outages by providing them with generators and energy solutions.
Rationale
Combined Heat and Power Plant No 5 in Kharkiv after sustaining severe damage from russian attacks, leading to serious power supply disruptions
Generators delivered
Thanks to the contributions from British universities and private companies, a total of 9 Ukrainian universities have already been provided with energy solutions, but the campaign continues to cover the needs of more educational institutions.
We are specifically seeking diesel generators in the 60–80 kW range, suitable for outdoor use and equipped with three-phase connections. The request also includes installation furniture, professional installation services, and a warranty period of 1–2 years.
Reliable power sources are crucial for Ukrainian universities to continue their mission. Generators ensure that students can keep learning, research can progress uninterrupted, and essential campus services remain functional—even during prolonged outages. They provide not just electricity, but also continuity, resilience, and a sense of normalcy in a time of uncertainty.
